Having spent over ten years in the field of practice management and accounts receivable management, Deborah McCarthy understands the intricacies of a medical practice. From front-end operations to behind-the-scenes claim submission, Deborah brings a wide range of experience in the areas of medical practice operations, human resources, and accounts receivable management to MMRI's team.

Her experience in accounts receivable management includes such activities as analysis of capitation profitability; identifying extraordinary practice utilization patterns; monitoring benchmark data to measure efficiency; restructuring billing operations to enhance processes; and optimizing medical billing systems to manage practice revenue.

Deborah joined MMRI as a Practice Management Consultant and was engaged to provide interim management services to an MSO client. As the short-term engagement concluded, Deborah's expertise in the accounts receivable management arena moved her swiftly in the direction of a multi-specialty academic practice where she facilitated the development of an integrated, decentralized billing staff.

As a member of MMRI's Compliance Committee, Deborah participates in compliance plan development, speaking engagements, and program implementation. She is actively involved in client compliance programs, from attending Compliance Management meetings to facilitating the education and development of administrators, physicians and staff.
